CD Projekt Polska releases 2025 report – one of the most profitable years in company history

Polish publisher CD Projekt announced its financial results for calendar year 2025, which became one of the most successful periods in its history despite the absence of major new releases.

As a result, the company managed to increase revenue by almost ten percent and raise net profit by more than 70 million zlotys – about $161 million.

Who turned out to be the main driver of success?

The primary sources of income in 2025 were sales of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. The latter was ported to Mac and Nintendo Switch 2, and also entered the premium catalog of PlayStation Plus.

Co‑CEO Michał Nowakowski noted that the “excellent results” stem not only from game quality but also from a “conscious decision” to support them long term.

Investments in the future

Over the year CD Projekt invested about 513 million zlotys ($139 million) in new project development – The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 are in active development. The team working on the first game grew from 447 to 499 employees over three months; the second project increased its staff from 135 to 149 people.

In addition, the company began work on a mysterious RPG codenamed Hadar. The current team is laying the foundation for a new franchise and designing individual elements of it.

Thus, despite the lack of “mega‑releases,” CD Projekt was able to demonstrate one of its most profitable years, relying on popular existing games and active investments in the future.
