A former Roblox manager has joined OpenAI’s HR department.

OpenAI has appointed a new Chief People Officer

The company announced that Arvind KC, former top manager at Roblox, has become the new Chief People Officer (CPO) of OpenAI. His responsibilities include recruiting talent, integrating them into the team, and developing employees’ careers in a company that continues to grow rapidly and remains a leader in ChatGPT development.

KC’s predecessor, Julia Villagra, left her position in August last year. Her departure occurred amid intensified competition for AI talent in Silicon Valley, where labs and major tech firms constantly seek experienced engineers and leaders.

Before joining OpenAI, KC held key roles at Roblox, Google, Palantir, and Meta. In the company he is described as a professional who blends an engineering approach with managerial skills.
