AMD released the mobile Ryzen AI Pro 400 for business laptops and portable workstations
AMD Announces New Mobile Ryzen AI Pro 400 Processors at MWC 2026
At the recent MWC 2026 event, AMD announced the release of mobile chips in the Ryzen AI Pro 400 series, which will be available in corporate laptops and mobile workstations. Deliveries of the first devices with these processors are planned for Q2 2026.
Key Models in the Mobile Lineup
| Model | Cores / Threads | Base Frequency | Boost Frequency | Total L3 Cache | Integrated Graphics | NPU | TOPS |
|-------|-----------------|----------------|-----------------|---------------|----------------------|-----|------|
| Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 475 | 12 / 24 | 2.0 GHz | up to 5.2 GHz | 36 MB (24 MB L3) | Radeon 890M (16 CU) | – | 60 |
| Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 | 12 / 24 | 2.0 GHz | up to 5.2 GHz | 36 MB (24 MB L3) | Radeon 890M (16 CU) | – | 55 |
| Ryzen AI 9 Pro 465 | 10 / 20 | 2.0 GHz | up to 5.0 GHz | 34 MB (24 MB L3) | Radeon 880M (12 CU) | – | 50 |
| Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450 | 8 / 16 | – | up to 5.1 GHz | 24 MB (16 MB L3) | Radeon 860M (8 CU) | – | – |
| Ryzen AI 5 Pro 440 | 6 / 12 | – | – | 22 MB (16 MB L3) | Radeon 840M (4 CU) | – | 50 |
| Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 | 6 / 12 | – | – | 14 MB (8 MB L3) | Radeon 840M (4 CU) | – | 50 |
*Note:* NPU stands for neural processing unit, and CU is a graphics compute unit.
What’s New Compared to Desktop Models
- Mobile chips are successors to the Strix Point series and feature more cores.
- Integrated graphics are stronger: from Radeon 860M up to 890M.
- Neural accelerators (NPUs) deliver up to 60 TOPS, higher than desktop variants.
Announced Performance Figures
AMD claims that the new processors provide:
- +20 % single‑thread performance;
- +30 % multi‑thread performance;
- +50 % GPU performance;
- +20 % AI performance compared to previous models.
Thus, the Ryzen AI Pro 400 series opens new possibilities for mobile workstations and corporate laptops by combining high compute power, advanced graphics processing, and fast neural acceleration.
