Apple unveiled the new iPhone 17e and an updated iPad Air
Apple officially announced the release of the iPhone 17e model, which has been a topic of discussion among tech enthusiasts for some time. At the same event, the company introduced an upgraded version of its tablet – the iPad Air with its own M4 processor.
What’s new in the iPad Air
- The M4 chip – an 8‑core CPU and a 9‑core GPU that runs up to 30 % faster than the M3 model and nearly 2.3 times faster than the M1 version.
- The N1 neural coprocessor – enables quick launch of AI algorithms directly on the device.
- C1X and N1 modems – allow connection to operators’ 5G networks and use Wi‑Fi without restrictions.
- RAM – 12 GB, providing an additional performance boost for multitasking.
Apple’s Vice President of Global Marketing Bob Burgess emphasized: “The iPad Air now offers users unparalleled creative and work capabilities thanks to the M4 chip and new iPadOS 26 features. This is the perfect time to buy or upgrade.”
Availability and pricing
- 11‑inch display – starting price $599.
- 13‑inch display – minimum $799.
Both models are available in several case colors. Preorders will open by the end of the week, and the tablet will go on sale on March 11.
Thus, Apple not only strengthened its smartphone lineup but also significantly boosted the performance of its tablets while maintaining its existing pricing strategy.
