Apple releases new software versions
During the week the company announced the release of several update packages for its operating systems, which apply to devices across various categories—from iPhone and iPad to Mac computers and wearables.

These updates are immediately available to all owners of the latest devices, who will receive new OS versions.
Updates for older generations
Apple also launched security and bug‑fix releases for older systems:
- iOS 18.7.5
- iPadOS 18.7.5
- macOS Sequoia 15.7.4
- macOS Sonoma 14.8.4
These packages are intended to provide protection even for users who do not have the newest device models.
Why it matters
Most changes in updates 18 and earlier versions focus on improving system security. Therefore Apple strongly recommends installing these patches on all compatible devices.
