Apple launches iOS 26.3 update

Apple has begun distributing a new version of its operating system for the iPhone – iOS 26.3. This is the third major update, which also lays the groundwork for the future AI assistant Siri.

What’s new in 26.3
Feature Description
Air transfer to Android
Users can quickly move photos, videos and other files from an iPhone to a nearby Android smartphone. To do this, open *Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Move to Android*.

Redesigned wallpaper gallery
The “Wallpapers” section now includes new categories – “Astronomy” and “Weather.” Weather now features ready-made presets, as well as options for customizing widgets and lock‑screen clocks.

Precise location restriction feature
For devices with Apple C1/C1X modems, the ability to restrict the transmission of precise location data when using mobile networks with selected carriers has been added.

Context and upcoming plans
- The latest update before 26.4 – iOS 26.3 follows immediately after releases 26.2 (December) and 26.2.1 (January). Those already introduced new “Liquid Glass” interface styles, expanded CarPlay settings, and other improvements.

- What’s expected in iOS 26.4 – the rollout of Siri based on Google Gemini, as well as a suite of features called Apple Intelligence, is planned. A beta version should appear by the end of February.

Thus, iOS 26.3 makes data migration easier and adds several useful interface improvements while simultaneously preparing the groundwork for the future AI assistant Siri.
