ASRock releases the anniversary motherboard Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary
The company ASRock unveiled an updated design for the Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary board, created to celebrate the ten‑year anniversary of the Taichi brand. The first model under this name – X99 Taichi – appeared on the market in 2016.
What’s new?
- Appearance
- Heatsinks are finished in a new silver, black and gold color scheme.
- A mirrored cover for the M.2 slot and an updated panel housing give the board a “commemorative” look.
- Functionality
- The platform remains unchanged: the PCB layout, slot arrangement, DIMM‑slot configuration and protective panels are almost identical to the standard Z890 Taichi.
- Technical specifications have not changed compared to the base model.
Key technical parameters
Parameter Description
Socket LGA 1851 (supports Intel Core Ultra Series 2)
VRM 25‑phase design 20+1+2+1+1, current up to 110 A

External ports HDMI, two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type‑C
These specifications match those announced for the regular Z890 Taichi.
Conclusion
The ASRock Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary looks like a cosmetic upgrade of an existing board rather than a full-fledged flagship. VideoCardz notes the lack of noticeable changes in the PCB or functional capabilities compared to the base model.
