Microsoft Expands the Windows 365 Cloud PC Ecosystem with New Collaborative Devices

Microsoft stated that Windows 365 Cloud PC is a secure, fast, and affordable platform for deploying virtual desktops in corporate scenarios. The service now receives additional support from key partners: Asus and Dell have announced their own devices specifically designed to work with Windows 365.

ManufacturerModelKey Features
AsusNUC 16 for Windows 365Thin client intended for streaming the OS from the cloud; quiet operation and a wide range of network interfaces.
DellPro Desktop for Windows 365Compact PC optimized for connecting to an Azure virtual instance.

Both models are slated for launch in Q3 2026. Asus will first supply the product to Europe and the United States, while Dell will ship it immediately to 58 countries worldwide.

How It Works – The devices run on a “simplified” closed version of Windows CPC (Cloud PC) that does not allow local account creation or use of built‑in storage.

- Users connect to a virtual desktop via Azure cloud, and access to the platform is paid for through a subscription with monthly payments.

History of Development – Microsoft began offering subscriptions to Windows 365 in 2021. Since then, the platform has become accessible from any local OS and web browser. Later, the Windows 365 Link device became available in 20 countries through Microsoft and its partners. Now Asus and Dell are preparing to offer an alternative solution.

Thus, the new compact PCs from Asus and Dell enhance cloud desktop capabilities, making them more accessible and convenient for corporate users.
