Asus launches pre‑orders for a new line of gaming laptops ROG Zephyrus in Taiwan

The company announced the start of pre‑orders for three models from its Zephyrus gaming series – Duo, G14 and G16. All devices are equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50‑series graphics cards. However, their prices sit at premium‑segment levels, making them inaccessible to the mass market (TechPowerUp).

Zephyrus Duo
The flagship model features two 16‑inch OLED displays and the most powerful RTX 5090 graphics card. Its price of 269,999 Taiwan dollars (≈ 8,600 USD) makes it one of the most expensive gaming laptops on the market.

Zephyrus G16
Available in three variants that differ only by GPU: RTX 5060, RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti. All models share a 16‑inch OLED screen with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The top configuration supports up to 64 GB LPDDR5X memory; the lower ones are limited to 32 GB. Starting prices begin at 109,999 TWD (≈ 3,500 USD), making it more affordable than the Duo.

Zephyrus G14
The reduced 14‑inch version retains high performance thanks to the RTX 5070 Ti and the same Intel processor. It weighs just 1.58 kg with a thickness of 18.3 mm. Built‑in MUX‑switch and Nvidia Advanced Optimus technologies allow disabling discrete graphics for simple tasks, saving power. Prices start at 169,999 TWD (≈ 5,400 USD).

All laptops feature a lightweight aluminum chassis and are designed for both gamers and content creators who require accurate color reproduction. Asus noted that additional variants with different GPU options may appear in the near future.
