ChatGPT can now identify melodies thanks to the built‑in Shazam.
ChatGPT now can “listen” to music
OpenAI has introduced a new feature: the ChatGPT bot can recognize musical tracks using Apple’s Shazam service.
Simply enter a query like *“Shazam, what is this song?”* – and an interface similar to what you see on Apple devices will appear. Through it you can find out the title of the track, the artist, and even listen to a snippet.
What changed
- Convenience: users no longer need to exit ChatGPT and open a separate Shazam app.
- Integration: interaction with the service works just like in the native Apple app – you type a request, the bot calls the Shazam API and returns the result.
How to connect Shazam to ChatGPT
1. Open the bot settings.
2. Go to the “Apps” section.
3. Find the available *Shazam* service and enable it.
After connecting, you can call on Shazam with any query containing the word “Shazam.” The song‑recognition feature is available on all platforms, even if the Shazam app isn’t installed.
Additional features
- If you already have the Shazam app, certain songs identified in ChatGPT can be added directly to your library.
- This allows you to save favorite tracks and use them later without re‑searching.
Thus, the new integration makes music recognition faster and simpler, combining ChatGPT’s capabilities with the popular Shazam service in one place.
