Crimson Desert does not launch on Intel Arc GPUs, and the developer is offering a refund.
Pearl Abyss updated the requirements for Crimson Desert but left Intel Arc users behind
South Korean publisher and developer Pearl Abyss recently released a full list of system requirements for its open‑world fantasy action game *Crimson Desert*. The updated specification made no mention of support for Intel Arc graphics cards, which disappointed owners of those cards.
What happened?
Users with Intel Arc GPUs discovered that the game does not launch on their PCs at all—regardless of processor power or RAM. When attempting to start, a message appears: “The graphics device is currently not supported.”
Official response
After the release, Pearl Abyss posted in the FAQ section of its official website an entry confirming *Crimson Desert*’s incompatibility with Intel Arc. The text reads:
> “If you purchased the game expecting Intel Arc support, please request a refund according to the rules of your chosen platform. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
Based on this statement, the company does not plan to add support for that line of cards.
Numbers
Steam statistics for February show that only 0.16 % of the platform’s audience owns Intel Arc graphics cards—a small share of players.
Release overview
*Crimson Desert* launched on March 20 and is available on:
- PC (Steam, Microsoft Store)
- Mac (App Store)
- PS5
- Xbox Series X/S
On Steam, at its peak the game gathered 239,000 active players and received more than 12,600 “mixed” reviews, reflected in a 56 % rating.
