Dell and Lenovo are poised to be the first to bring laptops with an Arm Nvidia N1 processor to market
Nvidia is set to reshape the mobile PC landscape
This year Nvidia plans to bring new laptop processors to market that will appear in Dell and Lenovo products. These chips will continue the evolution of Windows devices from discrete graphics to powerful integrated solutions.
Collaboration with MediaTek
One of Nvidia’s key projects is a joint development with MediaTek. According to The Wall Street Journal, both companies are creating an Arm‑based chip that combines CPU and GPU. This module promises to improve energy efficiency and extend battery life in thinner and lighter laptops. The chips will be named Nvidia N1/N1X.
First laptops already in development
Dell and Lenovo are already working with chip manufacturers and developing devices that use the new Nvidia–MediaTek module. According to insiders from the supply chain, the first models could appear in the first half of the year.
* Dell plans to include the processor in premium XPS laptops.
* Lenovo has already announced specific models: the Legion gaming laptops will be equipped with Nvidia N1.
Thus, new laptops with more efficient and powerful chips that combine compute and graphics into a single compact platform will soon hit the market.
