New DLSS 5 Features at GTC 2026 Shock Nvidia Partners

At the recent GTC 2026 event, the demonstration of DLSS 5’s intelligent upscaling not only amazed gamers but also disappointed employees at Nvidia partner studios.

Ubisoft and Capcom Employees in Shock

Insider Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming reported that artists and developers at Ubisoft and Capcom were completely unaware that their projects were being used to promote DLSS 5.

“We learned about it at the same time as the public,” one Ubisoft employee complained. The news was especially unexpected for Capcom staff.

Capcom has long maintained a highly critical stance toward generative AI, even during the development of Resident Evil Requiem and other unannounced projects. Now some employees fear that the arrival of DLSS 5 could signal a shift in the publisher’s strategy regarding generative AI and its integration into future games.

Players and Their Criticism

Users have already expressed dissatisfaction with how the new technology changes the visual style of games, turning them into “plastic” images. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang does not share gamers’ skepticism and considers DLSS 5 a significant step forward.

Expected Release

DLSS 5 is slated for release in the fall of 2026. The first games to receive support will be:

- Resident Evil Requiem
- Starfield
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Delta Force
- Naraka: Bladepoint

Thus, the new DLSS version promises to radically transform graphics and performance in upcoming masterpieces of the gaming industry.
