Gigabyte launches new boards for future Intel Arrow Lake‑S Refresh processors

Gigabyte has announced the release of two new motherboards: Z890 Aorus Elite WiFi7 Plus and Z890 Eagle WiFi7 Plus. Both modules are already “ready to go” with the upcoming Intel Arrow Lake‑S Refresh CPUs, which will appear next week.

Specification
Z890 Aorus Elite WiFi7 Plus | Z890 Eagle WiFi7 Plus
Overclocking: Ultra Turbo Mode (automatic Core Ultra 200K and KF overclock) | Same, but without an unlocked multiplier? (more precisely: also supports Ultra Turbo Mode)
Power VRM: 19‑phase design (16+1+2) with DrMOS MOSFETs rated for 60 A | 17‑phase design (14+1+2)
Network card: 5 Gbps LAN from Realtek | 2.5 Gbps LAN from Realtek
Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth: Wi‑Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 – Intel BE200NGW module (320 MHz) | Wi‑Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 – Intel BE202 / BE200NGW‑M module (160 MHz)
Audio: Realtek ALC1220 HDA, WIMA capacitors | Same audio solution
Controls: Rear panel buttons: power on, reset, CMOS clear, BIOS flash via USB | Same button set
USB4: One USB 4 port (40 Gbps) | One USB 4 port (40 Gbps)

What changed in the design?
To lower the price, Gigabyte dropped the two Thunderbolt 4 ports that are usually found on Z890 chipset boards. Instead, they added a single 40 Gbps USB 4 port.

Price
According to TechPowerUp, both boards will be available for roughly $250 (about 30,000 ₽ at current rates).

Thus, Gigabyte has prepared two variants of the Z890 platform: the premium Aorus Elite with a more powerful power system and high‑speed LAN, and the more affordable Eagle with a slightly smaller VRM design and 2.5‑Gbps LAN. Both modules are fully compatible with the new Intel Arrow Lake‑S Refresh CPUs and feature modern networking, wireless, and audio technologies.
