Google launches the first beta version of Android 17 for Pixel

*Google announced the start of official distribution of the first beta build of Android 17 among Pixel lineup devices.*

The beta is available on both smartphones and tablets—from Pixel 6 to the latest Pixel 10 models, including foldables and the emulator.

How the beta appeared
According to 9to5Google, Android 17 first appears in “beta” mode, skipping the usual Developer Preview stage. This became possible thanks to the launch of the Android Canary channel last June, which now serves as a platform for early testing of unstable builds with preview APIs and potential system behavior changes. The build received the number CP21.260116.011.
