Google added Gemini automation to the Galaxy S26

In the United States and South Korea, Google has incorporated a new agent feature for its Gemini AI model into Samsung Galaxy S26 phones, launched a few weeks ago. Now Gemini can access third‑party services on behalf of the user: ordering taxis, buying tickets, shopping online, etc.

How it works – a practical example
* Tester (The Verge) used a Galaxy S26 Ultra.
* First he asked Gemini to book an Uber ride to the airport.
* Gemini clarified which specific airport, added the destination and omitted choosing an airline (that’s not important in one terminal).
* Then the agent paused at the last step and suggested reviewing details before sending the request to Uber.
* Android Central notes that currently you can only book Uber to a single location. Future updates will support multi‑stop routes.

A more complex order
* A journalist wanted to order coffee + croissant.
* Gemini found the desired drink on the Starbucks menu and asked for clarification: whether he wanted a warm or cold chocolate croissant.
* The agent correctly advised heating the pastry, and the user simply confirmed the order.

Where else the feature will appear
* A similar capability will be available on Google Pixel 10 smartphones, but exact release dates have not yet been announced.
