Google Play introduces new features: Game Trials and Sidekick

What’s new and how it works
Game Trials – “try” a paid game before buying
On the game page a *Try* button appears. When clicked, the user sees how long they can play for free. For example, in the horror‑survival game *Dredge*, you can play for 60 minutes; after that you must either pay or delete the game from your device.

PC extension
Soon Game Trials will be available not only on mobile devices but also in Google Play Games for Windows PCs.

New indie titles
Titles such as *Moonlight Peaks*, *Sledding Game* and *Low‑Budget Repairs* will soon appear. Each of them will have a “Try” button.

PC games section in the Play Market
A new section has been created where you can add a game to your wishlist and receive discount notifications during sales.

Play Games Sidekick – AI assistant
Some games feature a chat‑bot based on Gemini that instantly provides the needed information and tools for gameplay without having to search the internet.

Player community
Posts from the community have appeared on some game pages, but they are currently available only to English‑speaking audiences.

Thus, Google Play expands functionality for both mobile and PC games: users can first “test” a game, then decide whether to purchase it, while receiving additional support from an AI assistant and the player community.
