GoPro launches a new line of cameras Mission 1

GoPro announced the release of a series of cameras called *Mission 1*. The lineup is built around 50‑megapixel sensors and its own GP3 processor developed in-house. The focus is primarily on video shooting.

What’s new?

* Micro‑Four‑Thirds – the Pro ILS model can connect external lenses, opening wide possibilities for professional shooting. The 3× crop factor means wide‑angle lenses will “shrink,” while telephoto lenses gain higher magnification.

* Optimized heat dissipation allows extended shooting without overheating: up to 4 hours in 4K and up to 5 hours in 1080p at standard frame rates.

* Enduro 2 supports fast Power Delivery 2.0 charging and is compatible with Hero 13 Black accessories.

Dimensions and protection

Mission 1 cameras are slightly larger and heavier than typical Hero models but remain compact, waterproof, and shock‑resistant – the usual GoPro traits.

Accessories

GoPro offers two accessory bundles:

* Grip Edition – turns Mission 1 into a small mirrorless camera.

* Creator Edition – comes with a new wireless GoPro microphone that will compete with DJI and Rode models. The mic is sold separately.

Thus, the Mission 1 lineup expands the capabilities of videographers and photographers: from a base model to a professional version with interchangeable lenses, while maintaining GoPro’s signature quality and reliability.
