Huawei expands its Mate 80 lineup with a new model – the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition

The company has added a special version of the Mate 80 series, the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition. Unlike the already released models (Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Master Edition), this new model is equipped with an integrated fan.

*Pre‑orders*

Chinese customers can already place pre‑orders for the phone. Official sales are expected to begin on March 23.

Technical details
Huawei has not yet disclosed full specifications, but information from the online marketplace Vmall indicates two memory configurations:

- 16 GB RAM / 512 GB internal storage
- 16 GB RAM / 1 TB internal storage

In the back‑panel photos, the fan is located in the upper corner of the camera – a small grille at the end of the round island with sensors. Through it the device can both draw in and blow out air.

Cameras
To accommodate the fan, Huawei reduced the number of main cameras:

- Previous versions had four main sensors
- The Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition has only three

Colors and price
The phone is available in two colors:

- Polar Night Black (black)
- Polar Day Gold (gold)

Exact pricing has not yet been announced.

Expected specifications
The remaining parameters are likely to match the base Mate 80 Pro Max model:

ParameterValue
Display6.9‑inch LTPO AMOLED
ProcessorKirin 9030 Pro
Battery6000 mAh
ChargingWired – 100 W, Wireless – 80 W

Thus, the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition is a variant of the standard model featuring a unique cooling system and a slightly altered camera setup.
