iOS 26.4 will bring a yeti and eight additional emojis for the iPhone
Apple releases a new beta version of iOS 26.4
Recently developers gained access to the fourth beta platform release of iOS 26.4. The update not only improves system performance and stability, but also adds several new emojis that will appear in the official OS release.
How new emojis are introduced
The non‑profit organization Unicode Consortium annually approves a set of characters that is then incorporated into the most popular operating systems—iOS, Android, Windows, etc. Last summer another batch of emojis for future iOS 26 was approved, but users will see them only after the stable 26.4 release.
What’s new in the beta
- Ballerina
- Distorted face
- Battle cloud
- Snowman
- Landslide
- Whale
- Trombone
- Treasure chest
These symbols are already part of the cross‑platform Unicode standard, so they will become available on all compatible devices after the update.
Although Apple Intelligence allows users to create custom emojis via Genmoji, the officially approved list of new elements remains an important addition to the ecosystem.
What’s coming in future releases
The potential emoji list for iOS 27 is already known:
- Gesture “thumbs up left / right”
- Meteorite
- Smiley with squinting eyes
- Eraser and other symbols
We just have to wait for the official release to see them on our devices.
