Lenovo has again raised the price of the Legion Go 2 from 2 TB – the cost has almost doubled compared to the launch.
Updated price for the Lenovo Legion Go 2 portable gaming console
*Original cost*
When Lenovo introduced the model with a 2‑TB drive, 32 GB RAM and an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor in October of last year, its price was $1,480.
*New price*
On the manufacturer’s official website, the price has risen to $2,850 as of now, which is $1,370 (≈92%) higher than the original level. In six months, the price jump exceeded almost 100%.
*Discounted options*
Several retail stores still offer the 2‑TB version of the console at a lower price. The best deal currently is $1,850, saving roughly $1,000 compared to Lenovo’s new price. How long this stock will last is unknown; it’s likely that the price will rise after the clearance sale of inventory.
*Reasons for the price increase*
Lenovo has not yet disclosed an official stance on the cost hike. It is probably related to the ongoing global rise in memory chip prices, which affects a wide range of consumer electronics. A gradual price increase instead of a one‑time overhaul of all models confuses buyers and makes timing a purchase uncertain.
*Price change history in April 2025*
In April, Lenovo already adjusted prices for more affordable variants of the Legion Go 2.
- The model with an AMD Ryzen Z2 processor and 16 GB RAM increased by 36% to $1,500.
- The version with a Ryzen Z2 Extreme, 32 GB RAM and a 1‑TB drive rose by 48%, reaching $2,000.
*PCMag review*
In October 2025, PCMag published a review of the Lenovo Legion Go 2. It noted that although the console received significant improvements, they do not represent the “shrunken” jump fans expected. Nevertheless, the upgrade is considered worthwhile for those seeking solid performance in portable Windows 11 gaming. At the same time, journalists already criticized the device’s inflated price.
