Microsoft will allow delaying Windows 11 updates for the entire 35‑day period without restrictions
Microsoft makes Windows 11 update management easier
Users no longer have to wait for automatic updates in the middle of the workday or interrupt gaming sessions so that they can complete. The software giant is adding new features to the Windows Update Center that allow delaying package installations up to 35 days. At present, these changes are available only to Windows Insider program participants.

How it works?
1. When an update package becomes available, the user receives a notification that they can postpone it.
2. Choosing “Delay” allows setting a new date within the 35‑day period.
3. After the selected interval expires, the system will automatically apply the updates unless the user postpones them again.
4. During download and installation, the device will run without interruptions, and reboot will occur only after all changes are complete.
These improvements aim to make the update process more flexible and less intrusive, allowing users to control installation timing when it’s convenient.
