New Big Battlemage finally appears in a photo: the internet has revealed a detailed test of the Intel Arc Pro B70 graphics card
Intel Big Battlemage — a new “large” graphics processor
Recently YouTube user Tech Guy Beau posted a detailed teardown of the single‑fan video card Arc Pro B70 32 GB. In the video he showed the BMG‑G31 chip package for the first time, giving viewers an exact sense of the size of the processor used in Intel’s latest Arc Pro card.
Chip dimensions
- Measured dimensions: about 25 × 15 mm, which gives an area of roughly 375 mm².
- In the video Tech Guy Beau cut the power cable and measured the mounting holes, from which he derived these figures.
- The result differs by only 7 mm² (≈1.9%) from the previously announced area of 368 mm², which is easily explained by differences in edge visibility and corner rounding during manual measurement.
Where is BMG‑G31 used?
The BMG‑G31 chip appears in workstation GPUs Intel Arc Pro B70 and B65.
- B70: 32 Xe cores, 32 GB GDDR6, 256‑bit memory bus.
- In comparative tests it shows about 45% better performance compared to the Arc Pro B60.
Thus, BMG‑G31 remains a relevant component not only for professional workstations but also for gamers, given that no gaming version of the Arc B770 is available on the market.
