Oppo is preparing to launch a new foldable smartphone — Find N6

Release date: March 17

Platform: Android, OneUI 5

What’s already known before the official presentation
GSMArena revealed first details: unboxing and an early review of key features. Unlike previous models, developers are prioritizing not only improvements to the chassis, cameras, and processor but also display technology.

“Zero‑feel crease” – zero perceived fold
- The fold isn’t completely eliminated, but its height is significantly lower than competitors’.

- With a light touch on the inner side of the screen, the bend is almost invisible.

How is this achieved?

1. Micro‑leveling – a laser scanner captures minute irregularities in the crease area.

2. Based on a 3‑D liquid printer, a photo‑polymer is applied to level the relief.

3. The resulting height difference is reduced to 0.05 mm – thinner than a human hair.

Increased strength and durability
- The radius of the inner display fold is shaped like a droplet, reducing stress at the point of maximum bend.

- The protective top layer — Auto‑Smoothing Flex Glass — is 50 % thicker. It retains its shape after repeated folding and “returns” to its original state.

Reliability
- TÜV Rheinland certification confirms that the device will withstand about 1 million folds, twice the industry standard.

- The crease depth remains unchanged for at least 600,000 folds.

What’s included in the kit
Item Description
Case Two‑part case protects both sides of the screen
Charger 80 W, fast charging

Conclusion
Find N6 promises to become the “smoothest” foldable smartphone on the market: the bend is practically invisible, the screen is stronger and more durable, and the chassis features enhanced protection. All that’s left is to wait for the official presentation on March 17 to see the device in action.
