Mundfish reveals plans for Atomic Heart 2 and The Cube

In a recent interview with WccfTech, Mundfish studio founder Robert Bagratuni shared details about the development of a new retro‑futuristic shooter—*Atomic Heart 2*, as well as the multiplayer role‑playing shooter *The Cube*, which will unfold within the universe of the original game.

“Blood on Crystal” as a key to the future
Bagratuni noted that the story expansion *Blood on Crystal*, released in mid‑April, is not just a side episode. It is an important plot turning point and a direct transition to *The Cube* and *Atomic Heart 2*.

After the DLC release, the Mundfish team immediately moved on to work on these projects. The studio currently has “several hundred talented developers,” allowing them to keep multiple major projects running simultaneously.

What Atomic Heart 2 looks like in the future
In last year’s interview, Bagratuni already mentioned that *Atomic Heart 2* would be ready in another couple of years. Developers aim to create “something more immersive, insane, and delivering a completely new experience.”

Judging by the finale of *Blood on Crystal*, *The Cube* won’t keep players waiting: Bagratuni confirmed that it is a separate project that will launch before the main game. He added, “We’ll be sharing news soon and are preparing an truly mind‑blowing event.”

Generative AI—still not in the arsenal
Mundfish is actively exploring generative artificial intelligence capabilities but has decided to postpone its integration into production for now. According to Bagratuni: “We’re confident we can succeed without neural network assistance.”

Platforms and support
* *Atomic Heart 2* is being developed for PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

* *The Cube* is officially confirmed for Steam and “unnamed” consoles, but exact details have not yet been disclosed.

At the same time, Mundfish continues to collaborate with the creators of the grotesque first‑person horror game *Ill*, helping them in development.
