Raspberry Pi computers have risen in price again—the reason remains the same.
Raspberry Pi Announces a Second Price Increase
The Raspberry Pi company announced that it is forced to raise the prices of several single-board computers again due to ongoing memory price increases. This isn’t the first time: in October last year they had to take a similar step.
> “The cost of some components has more than doubled over the past quarter,” said CEO Eben Upton (Eben Upton).
> “As a result, we now need to further raise prices for all Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 products, as well as Compute Module 4 and 5 with 2 GB or more of memory.”
What Changed in Prices
Model Previous Increase (December) New Increase
Raspberry Pi 4/52 GB +$5–25 +$10
Raspberry Pi 4/54 GB — +$15
Raspberry Pi 4/58 GB — +$30
Compute Module 5 (16 GB) $20 + $60
Which Models Are Unaffected
* Raspberry Pi 5 with 1 GB memory (released two months ago)
* Raspberry Pi 4 with 1 GB memory
* Raspberry Pi 400 (single‑board PC)
* Older models: Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi Zero and others, thanks to the availability of LPDDR2 memory reserves that have been in use for several years.
Looking Ahead
Upton noted that 2026 will “probably be another challenging year for memory pricing.” He added that the current situation is temporary and the company hopes to reverse the price hikes as soon as market conditions improve.
