Asus launches sales of the ROG Kithara gaming headset

The company Asus announced the start of sales for its new ROG Kithara gaming headset, created in collaboration with renowned Hi‑Fi audio equipment manufacturer HiFiMan. This is the first open-type model in the brand’s lineup, equipped with planar‑magnetic drivers that combine gaming features and premium sound quality.

Specification Details
Frequency range 8 Hz – 55 kHz (low distortion)
Microphone Wideband MEMS microphone with a response of 20 Hz–20 kHz
Construction Metal frame, eight adjustment levels, multi‑layer soft headband
Earpads included: 2 sets – faux leather with mesh fabric (tight fit) and velour (soft pressure, “warm” sound)

Key Features

- The open design creates a wide and natural soundstage, allowing precise localization of sound sources and clear separation of lows, mids, and highs. This is especially noticeable in rich gaming moments.

- Separate signal paths for audio output and microphone prevent crosstalk interference.

- The headset supports multiple connection options: balanced 4.4 mm, as well as single‑sided 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm jacks. A USB‑C adapter with two 3.5 mm ports is included for compatibility with PCs, laptops, consoles, DACs, amplifiers, and mobile devices.

Availability

The ROG Kithara has already been released in China and is sold on JD.com at a price of 1,999 yuan (about 22,000 rubles).

Thus, Asus offers gamers a unique product that combines HiFiMan’s high‑class sound with gaming headset functionality.
