NetherRealm Studios reports sales of Mortal Kombat 1

In a recent microblog by the developers, data was posted confirming that total sales since the game's launch have exceeded eight million units. The team thanked players for their support.

* Comparison with previous releases:

- *Mortal Kombat 1 (August 2025):* more than 6.2 million copies across all platforms.

- *Mortal Kombat 11:* record 15 million sales – still significantly higher.

* Support and content:

Game support ended twenty months after release (from September 2023). During that time two paid DLC packs with new fighters and the story expansion “Khaos Reigns” were released. Initially, there was a plan to continue updating the project longer, but plans had to be adjusted.

Mortal Kombat 1 launched in September 2023 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
