SpaceX has postponed the launch of its giant Starship V3 rocket to May 21.

The company Space X has once again delayed the first launch of the upgraded heavy‑lift rocket Starship V3.

Initially, the flight was scheduled for May 19, then for May 20, and now it is postponed to May 21.

What to Expect During the Test
* The upper stage (Starship V3) will go on a suborbital trajectory, partially circumnavigating Earth.

* Splashdown will occur in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Western Australia roughly 65 minutes after launch.

* The first stage (Super‑Heavy) will perform a controlled splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico about 7 minutes after liftoff.

New Capabilities of Starship V3
Starship V3 is the largest and most powerful version of the rocket to date.

It incorporates a number of upgrades compared to earlier models, which partially explains the long pause in flights. The last launch of the megarocket system took place in October 2025.

SpaceX also released several photos of Starship V3 from the launch pad, showcasing readiness for the new test.
