Death of the “father of Sega hardware” – Hideki Sato

Shortly before last weekend a tragic moment occurred in the gaming industry: Hideki Sato passed away. He is considered one of the founders of Sega’s game consoles and earned the nickname “the father of Sega hardware.” According to the Japanese gaming magazine *Beep21*, Sato played a key role in creating all of the company’s classic consoles, from the SG‑1000 to the Dreamcast.
