The leak revealed the colors of the new iPhone 18 Pro: dark red “Dark Cherry” will replace “Cosmic Orange”.
Apple is preparing to launch a new lineup of iPhones
*According to the latest leaks from within the company, Apple plans to unveil three models: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone Ultra. They are expected to appear in September 2026.*
Color options for the Pro models
Model Color (Pantone) iPhone 18 Pro / Pro Max Dark Cherry (Pantone 6076), Light Blue (Pantone 2121), Dark Gray (Pantone 426C), Silver (Pantone 427C)
* Dark Cherry – a dark cherry shade that looks more like wine than bright red.
* Light Blue repeats the Mist Blue of the base iPhone 17.
All four colors are still in development; mass production has not yet begun, and Apple may change the palette. Earlier Bloomberg reporters (Mark Gurman) had reported on “red” experiments, but the final version turned out to be darker and more subdued. Last year Macworld and Sonny Dickson mentioned black and steel gray for the iPhone 17 Pro – those colors never made it.
Design details
* The Dynamic Island will shrink, increasing usable screen area when Live Activities are off.
* On the back panel, the gap between the glass frame and camera module has been reduced (confirmed by drawings, but the final decision is not yet confirmed).
* A Weibo user under the pseudonym Instant Digital said Apple plans to reduce the color contrast between the glass and aluminum frame.
The look of the iPhone 18 Pro/Max is almost identical to its predecessors.
Foldable iPhone Ultra
* In unfolded form it resembles an iPad mini.
* Available in two colors: silver‑white and Indigo (similar to Deep Blue on the iPhone 17 Pro).
* Thickness 4.7 mm – thinner than the iPhone Air (5.6 mm).
* The back panel contains two cameras; both are external, and the internal upper left camera is for selfies.
Some analysts speculate that the foldable model may launch later than the others.
Other models
* The base iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and a new Air are planned for release in the second half of 2027.
