South Korean developer and publisher Pearl Abyss achieved staggering success with the open‑world fantasy action game *Crimson Desert*. The game's results attracted the attention of the country's highest leadership.

Prime Minister Kim Min‑Sok (Kim Min‑seok) noted that *Crimson Desert* set a new record for the Korean gaming industry. According to him, the game became a “turning point” that lifted South Korea onto the global stage and demonstrated the potential for expansion into console platforms.
> “From start to finish, the living world created with Pearl Abyss’s own technology, realistic graphics, and active communication attracted players worldwide. By incorporating Korean elements—taekwondo, local cuisine—*Crimson Desert* opened a new chapter for Korean games,” said Kim.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the government's readiness to support the industry: “We will create conditions under which Korean games can flourish.”
