The three largest Steam collectors have amassed over 40,000 games on each of their accounts.

Who currently holds the record for the number of games on Steam?

Only last fall did we write about Chinese user Sonix becoming the first person to collect more than 40,000 games on his account. In the seven months since then, two other collectors of the same scale have joined him.

- Sonix – leads the “Steam Collectors” list with 43,086 games, worth almost $680,000.
- Ian Brandon Anderson – 41,090 games.
- Axtor – 40,553 games.

All three users have over 60,000 downloaded products. However, many of them do not have access to profile settings (they are not popular enough), so they are excluded from collection and trophy counts.

How it looks in numbers
Tom’s Hardware notes that already 120 Steam users have more than 20,000 games on their accounts. The statistics are available in the SteamDB database.

Interestingly, having a huge library does not mean a lack of activity: Japanese user Cheltan, who ranks 120th by game count, has launched 8,732 of his 21,938 games.

How long it will take to “replay” all the games
According to Tom’s Hardware, to play through all 40,000 games of the top three collectors, they would need:

- 7 continuous years in front of a monitor,
- or more than 21 years if playing 8 hours a day.

Steam regularly holds sales. The spring sale ended on March 26, and the summer sale starts already on June 25. This is a great opportunity to add new games to your collection.
