Trump Mobile has postponed the launch of its gold smartphone T1 Phone – but it is almost ready for sale

*At the beginning of the year it was announced that the virtual mobile operator Trump Mobile, created by the Trump Organization, is delaying the release of its “gold” phone T1. Today company representatives revealed the reasons for the delay and even showed the device live via video link.*

Who is in the conversation?
- Don Hendrickson – one of three leaders of Trump Mobile
- Eric Thomas – second leader

Both interviewees confirmed that the demonstrated smartphone is not the final version, but already close to what will be mass-produced.

What has changed since the first announcement?

ParameterOriginal lookCurrent prototype
CameraTriangular main camera in iPhone styleTriple camera arranged vertically inside an oval “Trump Phone” module
Display6.78‑inch screen with rounded edges (same as the first version, not 6.25 inches)Same as original
LogoOriginal T1 logo on all rendersRemoved in prototype, but US flag and gold body remain

Thus the smartphone looks closer to the originally promised model with a larger screen than to later versions the company posted online.

Technical specifications
- Processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 7‑series (suitable for mid‑range devices)
- Battery – 5000 mAh
- Internal storage – 512 GB
- microSD support – up to 1 TB
- Cameras – front and main based on 50 MP sensors, possibly with an ultra‑wide module and a telephoto module

> “This particular smartphone really meets the specifications of top devices on the market this year,” said Eric Thomas. He added that the T1 Phone will be comparable to all phones above $1000.

Pricing
- Current price – the company promises to keep it below $1000.
- Depositor buyers – those who put down a $100 deposit (amount not specified) will get the phone for $499.

Hendrickson emphasized that despite improvements in specs and subsequent retail price increases, customers can still buy the T1 Phone at an affordable price.

Why was there a delay?
- Rising demand – interest in the device turned out to be so high that the company decided to refine the product before launch.
- Planning – this led to a revision of Trump Mobile’s long‑term development plan: now the T1 Phone will be released after the entry‑level model presented last year.

When can we expect the release?
- The current prototype has already passed certification by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
- An operator check with T‑Mobile is expected to finish by mid‑March.
- After that, the company plans to start deliveries to first buyers, but exact dates have not yet been announced.

In short: Trump Mobile delayed the release of the gold smartphone T1 for several months, but it is almost ready for sale. The device looks more like the original design, has competitive specs, and will be sold for less than $1000, with deposit holders able to get it for $499. Release is expected in the coming weeks after operator certification is completed.
