Steam Controller: How to Get a New Controller Now
Demand for Valve’s new product was so high that the first batch of Steam Controllers sold out in less than an hour after sales began. Resellers quickly inflated prices—some places saw them reach up to seven times the recommended price of $99.
To cope with huge demand and limited supply, Valve announced new ordering rules:

| Quantity Limit | Only one controller may be reserved per account. Those who have already bought the device cannot reserve a spot until further notice. |
| Additional Conditions | To participate you must have an active, unblocked Steam account and completed purchases by April 27 2026. This is to combat speculation. |
How Stock Replenishment Will Proceed
- USA and Canada – first reservation orders will start processing next week.
- UK, EU, and Australia – deliveries are scheduled for subsequent weeks.
