Vivo unveiled the X300 Ultra smartphone with an expanded camera and promises to make it available outside China
Virtual news about the new Vivo X300 Ultra smartphone
At the annual MWC 2026 exhibition in Barcelona, the brand Vivo announced the release of its new flagship phone – the X300 Ultra model. This is the first representative of the Ultra series that will appear not only on the Chinese market but also beyond its borders.
What caught attention
* New smartphone: the company has not yet disclosed an exact release date or full technical specifications, but it confirmed the presence of a 200‑megapixel telephoto camera. As experts from *The Verge* note, the same module was already present in the X200 Ultra, which was named best camera phone of the year – so significant improvements are more likely to concern accessories.
* Telephoto Extender Gen2 Ultra: together with Zeiss a new version of the teleconverter has been developed, increasing the equivalent focal length from 200 mm to 400 mm. It attaches to the back panel of the phone and is noticeably larger than the previous generation.
* Updated holder: a new accessory with additional camera control buttons appeared in the kit, but the cut‑out for the shutter release touch button disappeared – this may signal a rethink of the camera control system.
* Professional camera frame from SmallRig: the new “cage” features several cold heads, quick‑access ports, physical buttons for zoom and shutter, as well as an integrated cooling fan – ideal for long video shooting.
Global launch
Vivo plans to launch the X300 Ultra in the second half of this year. The company has not yet clarified where the smartphone will be available. According to *The Verge*, the U.S. market is almost certainly going to remain unavailable, and Vivo’s presence in Europe remains irregular, creating uncertainty for buyers from that region.
Thus, the new X300 Ultra promises to become a significant step for Vivo on the international stage, with key focus on camera improvements and professional accessories.
