EK Water Blocks raises prices on its online store

The company EK Water Blocks (EKWB) announced a price review for most of its products. The new rates took effect on April 9 and reflect the rising cost of materials and energy that the company must account for.

> “Prices in the United Kingdom will change on April 9… We have kept our prices as much as we could, but we need to adapt to increasing raw material and energy costs. This is not the same rise you saw in the memory market segment. We are just catching up with other brands that have already raised their custom cooling system prices… Good luck with your builds!” – says EK’s official statement.

How did the prices change?

VideoCardz compared old and new prices using Google indices. Results:

ProductOld price (€)New price (€)Change
EK‑Quantum Surface P360M (360 mm radiator)133,18147,33+10.6 %
EK‑Quantum Vector3 TUF RTX 5090 Plexi (water block)289,90304,94+5.2 %
EK‑Loop Flex (leak tester)32,9045,65+38.8 %
EK‑Nucleus AIO CR360 Lux D‑RGB179,99183,01+1.7 %
Water block for GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition (image)–30 € (decrease)

Thus most products saw price increases, but not all. For example, the water block for the RTX 5090 ended up 30 € cheaper.

What does this mean for enthusiasts?

For those building custom liquid‑cooling loop systems, news of a price hike can be unpleasant. Component costs are already high: water blocks and radiators range from €150 to over €300, not including fittings, tubing, pumps, and coolant that must be purchased separately. Shipping costs add on top.

How to act?

- Buy early – EKWB advises taking advantage of the old prices before April 9.
- Compare prices – use Google indices and official catalogs to verify current rates.
- Factor in additional expenses – fittings, tubing, pumps, and liquid can significantly raise the final build cost.

In short, while the price increase isn’t as sharp as in the memory segment, it still noticeably impacts the budget of custom cooling system enthusiasts.
