What is it?

Xiaomi officially introduced a smart tracker called Xiaomi Tag to the market. The device is designed to quickly locate lost items: keys, wallet, luggage, etc. Unlike some competitors, Tag is not tied to a single proprietary ecosystem – it works with both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub networks. Therefore it can be used with iPhone and Android smartphones without restrictions.

How to use

* Installation – thanks to its compact size (10 g) the tracker easily fits into a wallet, attaches to a keychain or hangs on a bag.

* Sound alert – an integrated speaker emits a sound when triggered, making it easier to find the item nearby.

* Notification features
* Left Behind – notification that you left the item in another place.
* Lost Mode – when activated, the owner's contact details are displayed so other users can return the lost object.

Where and how much does it cost?

At present Xiaomi Tag is sold only in Malaysia. In a single white color the price for one tracker is about $20. If you need a set of four devices – its cost is $77. It is expected that the model will soon become available in other countries as well.

Thus, Xiaomi Tag offers a simple, affordable solution for tracking items, compatible with both major search networks and protected against water and dust.
