What’s new?
- Premium class: The Redmi Book Pro 2026 is positioned as a more affordable option, but with the same set of specifications as the previous Xiaomi Book Pro 14.
- Two configurations: The company announced two models – 14″ and 16″. Both laptops are equipped with a 16‑core Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics.
- Battery “for its size”: Despite the compactness, both models offer large battery capacities (92 Wh and 99 Wh respectively), ensuring long autonomous operation. The smaller model can run up to 37 hours when playing local video.
- Fast charging: A 90‑watt fast charger is supported for the 14‑inch model; it has not yet been confirmed whether the same power level applies to the 16‑inch version.
Why this matters
- Competition with Apple: With a combination of performance, battery life, and price, the Redmi Book Pro 2026 series could become a worthy competitor to the MacBook Pro M5.
- Variety of configurations: Initial options are expected with an 8‑core Core Ultra 5 325 (up to 4.5 GHz, Xe 3 graphics) and a 12‑core Core Ultra 5 338H (up to 4.7 GHz, Arc B370 graphics), which could compete with the MacBook Neo.
When to expect it?
The exact release date has not yet been announced. Xiaomi plans to unveil the laptop simultaneously with the K90 Max smartphone, whose announcement is expected in China later this month.
