Apple Accelerates Launch of New Wearable Devices with AI

Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman reported that Apple is actively pushing forward the development of three new gadgets that will run on artificial intelligence.

What devices are in the pipeline? Planned launch Smart glasses • Built‑in cameras and microphones • High‑quality speakers • Special lens for AI functions (object detection, navigation) • Ability to make calls, listen to music, interact with Siri Production – December 2024 Launch to market – 2027 Keyring assistant (size of an AirTag) • Always‑on camera and microphone • Connects to iPhone but may have its own processor • Allows “requesting” visual context from Siri Possible in 2025 AI AirPods • Low‑resolution cameras for environmental analysis • Support for intelligent features Updated models could appear this year

What do the glasses do? The glasses will not have a built‑in display, but thanks to the cameras and microphones they will allow:

* make phone calls;
* control Siri by voice and visual context (e.g., “show me the ingredients of the dish”);
* play music;
* identify objects and landmarks, aiding navigation;
* remind you of tasks at the right moment.

Apple plans to develop the frames in-house to ensure high build quality and cutting‑edge cameras. At the same time, the company continues work on a display glasses model with full AI support.

Keyring assistant This miniature gadget will have an always‑on camera connected to an iPhone and a microphone for voice commands. It can be worn as a keychain or brooch, and it will be available in 2025.

AI AirPods The new earbuds will feature low‑resolution cameras that analyze the surroundings around the user, opening up new ways to interact with the environment.

Thus, Apple intends to expand its wearable lineup by integrating artificial intelligence into each device and providing a deeper connection between the gadget and the user.
