Google Labs launches the DreamBeans app – a personal AI assistant

The experimental team at Google Labs has unveiled a new mobile solution available on both Android and iOS. The app, called DreamBeans, uses artificial intelligence to analyze user habits and offers them “live” ideas that can enrich everyday life.

How the service works
1. Data collection with user permission

DreamBeans connects to several Google services: Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and search history. Information is gathered through the Personal Intelligence mechanism – a special layer for processing personal data.

2. Daily curation

Based on the collected information, AI generates 10‑14 themed stories per day. These may include:

* places worth visiting near home;
* topics to study or new hobbies;
* product and service recommendations (e.g., tips on living with a puppy);
* upcoming trips and events;
* news that matches the user’s interests.

3. Fighting “scrolling”

DreamBeans acts as an antidote to endless news feeds: users receive only carefully selected stories, not a random stream of content.

Privacy and access
* All material is visible only to the user – the service guarantees full confidentiality.

* Currently the app is available only to subscribers of the paid Google AI Ultra tier in the U.S. For other users the company has opened a waiting list.

Thus, DreamBeans promises to turn ordinary Google data into personalized ideas and recommendations, helping users discover new possibilities without excess information.
