Windows 11 25H2 – “no errors” according to Microsoft’s official statement

Microsoft announced that the current build of Windows 11 (version 25H2) has no known bugs. This is especially noticeable after several months of updates that were accompanied by issues and prevented users from working normally.

* What changed?

- In version 25H2 all previously tracked problems are marked as fixed.

- A similar status is announced for the upcoming build 26H1, intended for devices with Snapdragon X2 chips.

* Why does this matter?

- It’s rare for “all trackable errors” to be completely eliminated, especially when the original version already had issues.

- Microsoft emphasizes that the absence of registered bugs does not guarantee absolute error‑free operation: undocumented defects may still exist in the system, and new updates can always introduce new failures.

* Which errors have been resolved?

- Issues with accessing the boot disk.

- Application crashes.

- Failures when installing subsequent updates.

What Microsoft promises for the future
The company announced plans to radically change the approach to Windows 11 updates:

1. Full user control – the ability to completely opt out of unwanted updates.

2. Update pause – users and administrators can suspend updates, keeping the system in a stable state that suits them.

Senior editor at Windows Central Zac Bowden called this step “a level of freedom unseen since Windows 8.” If implemented, it will allow users to manage updates however they find most convenient.
