Perplexity released Personal Computer—a cloud AI agent for Apple's Mac mini.

New service from Perplexity Computer: Personal Computer

Last month, Perplexity Computer launched the Perplexity Computer service, which allows multiple AI agents to collaborate on complex tasks. Recently it introduced an extension – a cloud AI assistant called Personal Computer.

What is Personal Computer?
* Continuously active solution – the agent works 24 / 7 without breaks.
* Local integration – connects local applications running on a Mac mini with Perplexity Computer’s cloud platform.
* Personal and secure – operates in a protected environment and has access to your files, apps, and sessions through a continuously running Mac mini.
* Manage from anywhere in the world – you can control the agent from any device by connecting to Perplexity.

How does it look?
Developers demonstrated Personal Computer’s core features in a short video. The service is currently available only to a limited number of users; participation requires registration and joining a waitlist. No additional details about scaling plans have been announced yet.
