Personal Computer – a new local AI agent from Perplexity

The developer announced the release of the Personal Computer app for macOS to a wide audience, which is Perplexity’s answer to popular local agents such as OpenClaw.

What is it?
* Personal Computer is an extension of the universal *Perplexity Computer* platform, created specifically to perform tasks directly on the user’s computer.
* To launch the service, the agent needs access to local files, applications, connection tools, and internet services.
This allows processing complex multi-step workflows without going to the cloud.
