Total Chaos is preparing for a new “New Game +”
A ruthless survival horror‑shooter from Apogee Entertainment and New Zealand studio Trigger Happy Interactive (Turbo Overkill) will become even harder and scarier.
What the developers announced – Release date: March 2 – the “New Game +” update will appear on all platforms where Total Chaos is already available.
- The announcement featured a short (9‑second) creepy teaser.
Key changes in the game1. Levels become more difficult – enemies are more aggressive and resources are limited.
2. Every level now comes with a warning about a new pursuer, “The Hunter.”
3. An eighth chapter “Reckoning” has been added, revealing the story of Fort Oasis and the dark forces that have taken over it, as well as the true meaning of the hero’s journey.
A look at the update Developers call “New Game +” the toughest in Total Chaos history. It is not just DLC; it reimagines the entire experience with a new storyline, locations, and an alternate ending. The mode is intended for those who want to play the game in its most brutal form and push themselves to the “absolute limit.”
Game history Total Chaos was released on November 20 for PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X/S and is included in Game Pass Ultimate. The game originated from the legendary Doom 2 mod “Hell on Earth,” created by Trigger Happy founder Sam Prebb.
Thus, the new mode promises to increase the challenge and immerse players even deeper into an atmosphere of horror and survival.
