Samsung launches beta version of One UI 9 on the Galaxy S26

Samsung Electronics announced the start of a beta testing program for the new user interface version – One UI 9. Testing will begin this month and will first be available on Galaxy S26 series devices.

What’s new in One UI 9
- Based on Android 17 – provides more stable performance and new features.
- Expanded creative tools – simplify content creation directly from the smartphone.
- Enhanced personalization – more options for customizing the look and behavior of the system.
- Intuitive interface – simplified menus and clearer navigation.
- Increased security – the system automatically blocks installation and launch of apps rated as “high risk” and also recommends their removal.

Beta availability
The beta version will be available to Galaxy S26 users in several countries:

- Germany
- India
- South Korea
- Poland
- United Kingdom
- United States

You can join the test through the Samsung Members app. Participation may depend on region, device model, and carrier.

Requirements for beta testing
1. Install the Creative Studio app.
2. Connect to the internet and sign in to your Samsung account.

Security policy updates include changes to service operation and an updated list of potentially dangerous apps based on Samsung’s internal assessment.
