Soon Oppo phones will be able to transfer photos and files from an iPhone using AirDrop
Oppo Expands File-Sharing Capabilities
At the MWC 2026 exhibition, the company announced the launch of Quick Share compatibility with AirDrop (AirDrop‑over‑Quick‑Share). Now Android and iOS users will be able to directly transfer photos, videos, and other files without installing third‑party apps. Currently this feature works only on Pixel 10, but its appearance in Oppo smartphones promises to make data exchange simpler and safer.
> “Soon the Find X9 lineup will include Android Quick Share, created jointly with MediaTek and Google. Users will be able to conveniently transfer files between Oppo devices and iOS‑/iPadOS‑/macOS systems. The feature will appear through software updates as early as March,” said Oppo.
Considering recent news that Samsung is preparing support for Quick Share‑AirDrop for the Galaxy S26, a wider adoption of this technology among other brands can be expected.
New AI Features on Find X9
At the same exhibition, Oppo introduced several new AI-based capabilities:
- AI Translate – real‑time text translation.
- AI Portrait Glow – enhancement of portrait photos using AI.
Both features will be available in the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro models when updated to ColorOS 16.
Additionally, the company announced an integrated Omni model with full modal display. According to Oppo, it allows the smartphone to “understand” scenes in real time and conduct interactive dialogue through Q&A directly on the device.
Thus, Oppo strengthens its position as an innovative manufacturer by combining convenient data sharing with advanced AI technologies.
