Warhorse Studios Reveals Plans After Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

After a series of rumors, the Czech studio Warhorse Studios (part of Embracer Group) finally clarified what it is working on.

* Fantasy RPG in Middle‑Earth

Last year Reddit insider bertik11 claimed that Warhorse was preparing a fantasy game, but not “The Lord of the Rings.” The lead developer of the original Witcher game, Ryszard Chojnowski, had the opposite view: the studio is developing an open‑world RPG set in L. F. Powell’s universe.

This has now been officially confirmed – Warhorse is indeed working on a game set in Middle‑Earth. Details will follow later.

* Continuation of Kingdom Come

In addition to the “Lord of the Rings” project, the studio continues work on a new adventure in the Kingdom Come series. It is unclear whether this will be a third part (Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3) or a separate project with another title.

* Shift in Focus for Daniel Wawra

Director of the first game, Daniel Wawra, has temporarily put games on hold to focus on the film adaptation of Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

* New Ambitions

After completing the story of Indrzhikha from Skalytsya in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and its expansions, Warhorse announced a desire to become the “new kings of RPG.”

Thus, the studio is simultaneously developing a fantasy RPG set in Middle‑Earth while continuing the Kingdom Come series, all while preparing for major future projects.
